For self-drive hires, customers must have hired-in plant insurance to cover the machine for loss or damage. We understand that many people don’t have hired-in plant insurance, and so we offer a waiver policy instead, which we charge at 20% of the total hire cost. For example, a one-day micro digger hire is £45, plus a £9 waiver, plus £10.80 VAT: £64.80 in total, with free delivery within 5 miles. This small fee ensures the equipment is fully covered while it’s in your care.
